Sri Lakshmi Super Market

We are located at 67/14 in Basireddy Palli, which is part of Darsi Mandal in Prakasam. It’s a decent-sized space for a supermarket, though it feels small when the weekly truck arrives. We spend half the morning just shifting boxes around so people can actually walk through the aisles. The lights inside are a bit bright, but it helps you see what you’re buying. We have a lot of different things piled up, from soap to bags of lentils. Sometimes the kids from the nearby houses come in just to look at the snacks. We don't mind as long as they don't knock anything over. Working here means you're on your feet most of the day. My back usually aches by five o'clock, but there’s always more to do. The neighborhood is mostly families who have been here for generations. They know us, and we know them. We don't use any of those fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of it is still done with a pen and a notebook. It’s faster that way for us. During the festival seasons, the place gets absolutely packed, and it’s hard to even hear yourself think. But the rest of the year, it’s just a steady stream of neighbors coming in for their daily bits and pieces. We just keep the doors open and the stock ready. It’s a practical way to earn a living in Basireddy Palli. We are glad to be part of this little community here.
