Padmalayas Cool Drinks & Bakery

If you find yourself on Trunk Road in Ongole, you will probably see our shop, Padmalayas Cool Drinks & Bakery. We are at 37-1-142, which is a pretty busy spot most of the time. The bakery gets a lot of people coming in just to grab something quick while they are heading somewhere else. It stays quite warm in Ongole, so the cool drinks are a big part of what we do. We have the usual glass cases for the bread and the snacks. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded behind the counter when we have a few people wanting things at once. We try to keep everything organized but it’s a small space and things move fast. The smells from the ovens are always there, mostly in the mornings when we are getting things ready for the day. It’s not a quiet place because of all the traffic on Trunk Road, but we’ve gotten used to the noise over the years. We don't have fancy tables or anything, just a simple setup for people to get what they need. Most of our regulars are folks who live nearby or work in the shops down the street. We just keep the fridge stocked and the shelves full. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and dealing with change, but it keeps us busy. We aren't trying to be anything other than a local bakery where you can get a cold drink.
