Ongole Cold Storage-Pvt. Ltd. is located over at 8-418A in Sundar Nagar. We are on the street with the Panchamukha Anjaneya Temple, just off Mangamuru Donka Road. It is a big facility because we need the space for all the cold units. When you walk inside, the temperature drops fast, which is a relief when it’s hot outside. We spend our days monitoring the levels and making sure the machinery is running like it’s supposed to. It’s a lot of humming and buzzing from the cooling systems. The floors are often a bit damp from the condensation, so you have to watch your step. We have a small office area near the front where we keep the logs. It’s nothing special, just some old chairs and a desk that’s seen better days. We get trucks coming in at all hours, so someone is usually here making sure the gates are open and the loading goes smoothly. It’s a practical business. We don’t put much thought into how the place looks to outsiders. As long as the units stay cold and the power stays on, we are doing our job. The temple nearby means there’s often music or bells ringing in the background, which is a nice touch to the day. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for quite some time and everyone around here knows where the cold storage is.
