Our place is on Managamur Road in Ongole. If you know the area, it’s H.No-7-5-89. M/S Midwest Granites Pvt Ltd has been operating out of here for a while, right in the heart of the granite belt. It’s a hot part of Andhra Pradesh, and the dust from the stone is just something we’ve grown used to over the years. We aren't really the type to sit in air-conditioned offices all day. Most of the work happens outside or near the yards where the heavy slabs are moved around. It’s noisy, dusty, and hard work, but that’s the nature of the granite business. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just handle the stone, deal with the transport, and make sure things get to where they need to go. Sometimes the machinery acts up or a shipment is delayed, and we just have to figure it out on the fly. It’s a very hands-on kind of life. Everyone around here knows each other, so we don't bother with big advertisements or anything like that. A lot of our day is spent talking to drivers and workers under the sun. It’s a basic operation, but it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big talk, we just keep the granite moving along the road.
