Citizens Hospitals

RP Road is always noisy, and Citizens Hospitals is right in the thick of it. We spend a lot of time wiping dust off the counters because of the construction nearby. It’s an old part of town. People have been coming here for a long time. The floor tiles are a bit worn out in the lobby. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background. It’s not a huge place, just a few rooms and a small reception area. Most of the regulars live within walking distance. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we have to wait for the generator to kick in. It gets pretty hot during the summer months. We keep the fans running all day long. The nurses are usually busy talking to families or organizing files. There is a tea stall right outside where everyone goes for a break. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, but we keep everything clean and ready. It's a bit of a maze getting through the back hallways. The front door has a bell that rings every time someone walks in. It’s a sound we’ve all gotten used to. We deal with whatever comes through that door. Some days are slower than others. On rainy days, the floor gets a bit muddy from all the boots. We just mop it up and keep going. We've seen kids grow up and bring their own kids here now. It's a simple, hardworking place for the people on RP Road.
