Ratan Iron Industries

Ratan Iron Industries is located on New Checkon Road in Hatta. We are right opposite the primary school, so things get a bit loud when the kids are out on break. Our shop is where we do all the iron fabrication and heavy work. It’s a local business, and most of us living nearby work here. We handle a lot of different iron pieces, mostly for building and repairs. The workshop has that specific smell of burnt metal and grease that never really goes away. We don't have a big office or a secretary. Usually, you just walk in and find one of us near the welding machines. My father started this place, and we've just kept it going the same way. The tools are old but they still work fine for what we need to do. Sometimes the power goes out in this part of Hatta, and we have to wait around to finish a job. We don’t mind the wait, gives us time to talk. The road outside can get muddy when it rains, making it hard for the delivery carts to move. We try to keep the front area clear so customers can see what we have. It’s not a polished business, just a bunch of guys working with iron every day. We know most of the people who walk by, and they know us by the sound of the hammers. It is just basic work.
