Shree Bhardwaj Engineering Co.

Shree Bhardwaj Engineering Co. is tucked away at Plot No-399/4 in Block E of the G.I.D.C area. We are quite close to Mahavir Park, which is a nice place to see some trees after spending all day looking at metal. Our workshop is filled with the usual engineering tools like lathes and grinders. There is usually a bit of oil on the floor and the smell of cutting fluid is always around. We work on different metal parts and fix things that people bring to us. It is loud work, so we don’t talk much while the machines are going. We wear blue overalls that are mostly stained with grease. It’s not a corporate setup at all. We just have a small gate and a yard where we keep some of the bigger raw materials. The G.I.D.C can be a bit dusty, and the roads aren't always in the best shape, but it’s where all the work happens. We have a small corner for keeping our tools organized, though it never stays that way for long. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that on the wall. We just look at the drawings people bring in and try to make the parts as they are described. It’s practical work for people who like using their hands. When the power goes out, we just sit outside and wait for it to come back.
