Saurastra Cement Limited, Ranavav

We are part of Saurastra Cement Limited, based out of the Ranavav side, but this specific office is in Bokhira, Porbandar. We are located in the Jubilee area, right near the post office. It is a convenient spot because everyone knows where the post office is. This branch handles a lot of the local distribution and paperwork for the cement shipments. Being near the coast, we have to deal with the salt air, which isn't great for the equipment, but we get by. The office is nothing special to look at. Just a plain building where we do our daily tasks. We have a lot of walk-ins, mostly local builders and people fixing up their homes. We do not use a lot of fancy words or sales pitches. If you need cement, we tell you what we have and when it can get there. It is a very practical way of doing things. Sometimes the office dog from next door wanders in, and we give him some scraps of food. It is that kind of place. We have been here in Porbandar for a long time. The history of the cement industry is tied deep into this region of Gujarat. We just feel like a small part of that bigger picture. The days start early here because construction starts early. By the time the sun goes down, we are usually pretty tired, but the work is satisfying to finish.
