We operate under the name Saurashtra Ferrous. Our office is in the Shiv Shakti building over at 8 New Kumbharwada. Even though our name mentions Mundra, we do a lot of the heavy lifting and planning right here in Porbandar. It is an area with a lot of history and hardworking people. We deal with iron and steel, so things can get a bit grimy sometimes, but that is part of the trade. The office is fairly basic. We have some chairs, a few computers, and a lot of paper ledgers. It is not the kind of place you would see in a shiny magazine. We are just local folks trying to run a business. The traffic in Kumbharwada can be a bit much during the festive seasons, but we manage to get through it. Most of our day is spent talking to suppliers and checking on the status of our ferrous materials. We started out small and stayed that way on purpose. It allows us to know exactly what is happening with every single order. People in the neighborhood know us by name. We do not really do big advertisements or anything. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years and years. It is a straightforward way of living and working. We stay busy, we keep our heads down, and we make sure the metal gets shipped out on time to the clients.
