Saurashtra Cement Limited has a presence out here in Village Post Kharsan. We are located via Kheroda in the Udaipur district of Rajasthan. It’s quite different from being in a big city. The pace is a bit slower here, and we know almost everyone who walks through the door. Being in a village setting means we are very connected to the local land and the people living around us. We handle the cement needs for this part of the district. It’s practical work. We deal with trucks, heavy bags, and a lot of dust, especially when the wind picks up across the Rajasthan plains. Our setup isn't fancy at all. It’s just a functional space where we manage the distribution and talk to the local builders. Sometimes the roads aren't the best, so getting things in and out can be a bit of a challenge depending on the season. But we’ve lived here a long time and we know how to manage it. We don't use big words or have complicated systems. If someone needs cement, we see what we have and we get it to them. It’s more about relationships here than anything else. You might see us sitting outside when things are quiet, just watching the day go by. It’s a simple life, focused on getting the job done without any extra fuss or bother. We're just village folk working hard.
