The Pari Magazine

Our office is right on S. T Road. It’s a busy street, so there’s always noise coming in through the windows, mostly traffic and people shouting. We put out the magazine from here. It isn't a massive operation or anything. We have a few desks, some old computers, and stacks of back issues piled up in the corners. Most of the day is spent just reading through things or talking to the printers. Sometimes the delivery truck is late and we have to wait around on the sidewalk. It gets hot in the afternoons but the fan helps a little. We’ve been in this building for a bit now. Everyone on the street knows us because we’re always carrying boxes in and out. It’s not a glamorous job, just a lot of typing and checking pages before they go out. We don't have a receptionist, so if the bell rings, whoever is closest to the door gets up to see who it is. Usually, it’s just the mail or someone looking for a different shop. The light in the office is okay during the day but we had to get extra lamps for when we stay late to finish an issue. It’s just how things go here on S. T Road. We try to keep the place tidy but with all the paper, it’s a bit of a losing battle. We like it though. It’s our space and it works for what we do.
