H. H. Brothers Shop

If you walk down to No. 7 Sutarwada Bhaomar House, you’ll find us easily enough. H. H. Brothers Shop is a family thing, which means there’s usually an argument going on about where to put the new stock or who forgot to lock the back gate. We’ve stayed in this same spot for years, and the walls show it. They could use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time between all the deliveries and people coming in. The floorboards creak in certain spots, and we’ve learned to step around them. It’s a small shop, but we pack a lot into it. There’s a specific way we arrange things, even if it looks like a mess to anyone else. We spend our mornings checking what came in and our evenings making sure everything is shut tight. The street outside can be a bit chaotic with carts and bikes passing by Bhaomar House all day long. We know the neighbors well, and sometimes they help us move the heavier crates when the truck arrives. It isn’t a glamorous job, and our clothes usually have some dust on them by noon. We just like having our own place where we can work at our own pace. There’s no big corporate plan here, just the two of us and whatever needs doing before we go home for supper. It keeps us busy and out of trouble, and that is enough for us.
