Our business is set up over at Jawar Naka. Since we deal with marine products, things can get pretty busy and chaotic depending on the season and what the boats are bringing in from the water. It is definitely not the cleanest job in the world, as you might imagine. There is a lot of ice, salt, and the smell of the sea everywhere you turn. We spend most of our day sorting through what comes in and making sure it gets processed or moved out to the buyers quickly. It is a fast-paced environment because you simply cannot let these things sit around for too long. We have a small crew that has been with us for many years now. They know the daily routine by heart. Some days the catch is very good, and we are working flat out until late at night. Other days it is quiet and we spend our time cleaning the equipment or fixing the wooden crates. We are not some big fancy corporation with a marketing department or a polished image. We are just regular people who know a lot about fish and sea products. We deal with local suppliers and buyers who have been coming to Jawar Naka for a long time. It is a lot of physical labor, like lifting heavy boxes and dealing with cold storage. It gets wet and messy, but it is honest work. We do not have time for much talk.
