About Rama Packaging – Packaging Machines & Materials in Porbandar
Rama Packaging is over at Plot No. 571 in Dharampur, which is right near the Gidc Estate. We are close enough to the estate to feel the buzz but just far enough away to have a little bit of our own space. Packaging is what we do all day long. The floor is usually covered in scraps of cardboard and bits of plastic wrap that need to be swept up at the end of the day. We have machines that fold and glue, and they make a lot of clicking and whirring sounds while they work. It gets quite dusty because of all the dry paper and boxes, so we usually keep the big shutters open to let the air move through. The trucks pull up right to the edge of the plot to load up the finished cartons. It can be a bit chaotic when three or four drivers are all trying to get their loads at the same time. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you come by, you just walk in and find someone near the machines. Most of the people working here live in the nearby area, so they just walk or bike to the site. It is a plain, hardworking environment where the goal is just to get the boxes made and shipped without any mistakes. The days go by pretty fast when the orders are piled high and the tape machines are running.
