Out here in Porbandar, things move at their own pace. Brijvashi Caterers And Event Management is located right on Geb Office Road in the Koliwad area. If you’re near Ramtekri, you’re basically there. We’ve been working out of this spot for a good bit of time. Handling events and catering isn’t exactly a quiet job. There is always someone coming in to ask about a menu or checking if we are free for a date in the next month. We don't have some big corporate manual. We just figured things out as we went along. Sometimes the stove acts up or the delivery truck is late because of the traffic on the main road, but that is just part of the business. We focus on getting the food right and making sure the decorations don't fall down. Our team is mostly local guys from around Porbandar who know the families here. We do a lot of weddings because everyone around here seems to have a big family. It’s a lot of long nights and early mornings for us. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just cook the meals and organize the space. Most of our day is spent talking to vegetable vendors or checking on the tents. It’s a simple life, really. We like being part of the community and seeing the same faces at every event we handle. It's not always easy, but we get it done.
