Malika Ice Factory

If you go down to Ward Number 2 in Naushera, you will find us right near the State Bank of India. We aren't a fancy shop where you sit down and eat; it’s more of an ice factory where things are always moving. We have these big blocks of ice and smaller bags that we get ready for the local shops and people having events in Rajauri. It’s loud inside because of the machinery, and the floor is almost always a bit wet, which is expected when you’re freezing water all day. We’ve been at this location for a good while now. The bank next door makes it easy for people to find us when they are giving directions. It’s a tough job sometimes, especially in the peak of summer when everyone is calling at the same time wanting more ice. My staff and I start early in the morning before the sun gets too high. We load up the trucks and try to get everything out as fast as possible. There’s no big sign with lights, just the work getting done. Sometimes neighbors stop by just to cool off for a minute. We don't spend much time on decorations because the ice is the main thing. It’s a practical business for a town like this. We just make sure the quality is right and the freezing stays consistent so nobody ends up with melted stock when they get home.
