Sri Balaji Cement Pipes

Our place, Sri Balaji Cement Pipes, is at 85 Alamaram St. in Veppampattu, which is part of Trivellore. We are actually across from number 89 as well. The street is named after the big banyan tree, and it provides some nice shade during the hottest parts of the afternoon. We make cement pipes here, so there is always a lot of heavy lifting involved. The yard is full of different sizes of pipes waiting to be moved out. It’s a very physical job, and we spend most of our time outside in the yard rather than sitting in the office. The office itself is just a small room with a fan and a few chairs where we handle the billing. It’s often covered in a fine layer of gray dust from the cement. We’ve been in Trivellore for a long time, and we’ve seen the town grow quite a bit over the years. People come from all over the district when they are working on drainage or irrigation projects. We don't do any big advertising; the pipes just sit out there for everyone to see as they pass by. It’s a straightforward business with no shortcuts. We start early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool and keep going until the work is done for the day. It’s a simple, hardworking life on Alamaram Street, and we like the routine.
