We are set up in the SIPCOT Industrial Complex over in Gummidipoondi. Specifically, we occupy units 83, 84, and 117 in the Export Promotion Industrial Park. It is a bit of a trek out to Thiruvallur district, but this is where the space is for the kind of heavy work we do. At Precision Hydraulics, our daily life revolves around hydraulic systems. These are big, heavy components that require a lot of floor space and cranes to move around. The workshop is quite large since we have those three units joined up. It gets quite loud when the testing equipment is running. We have a team of technicians who spend their whole shift checking seals and testing pressures. It is not glamorous work. There is a lot of grease and heavy lifting involved. We’ve been out here in Gummidipoondi for quite some time. The industrial park has grown a lot since we first arrived. We don't really do much in the way of advertising. Most of our work comes from long-standing relationships with other industrial companies who need specific hydraulic parts. We try to keep things moving so our customers aren't left waiting. Sometimes the weather out here gets incredibly hot, which makes the work tougher, but the guys just get on with it. We are just a group of people who understand how these systems work and we keep at it every day. It's a long day, but someone has to do it.
