Our place is located at F- 62 and 63 in the Sipcot Industrial Complex. It’s a big site where we deal with engines and industrial equipment. This isn't a small corner shop, but we who work here are just regular folks. We spend our shifts on the floor, surrounded by heavy machinery and the smell of fuel. Sipcot is a massive area, and our buildings are part of that whole landscape. We handle a lot of technical stuff every day. There’s always someone checking a pump or working on a motor. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean. By the end of the day, most of us are ready to head home and wash the grease off. We don’t have those fancy slogans you see on TV or in the papers. We just have schedules and quotas and parts that need to be put together correctly. It’s a lot of repetitive movement, but it’s necessary work for the industries that rely on us. We’ve been at this location for quite a while, and the routine is pretty set. Some days the heat in the complex is tough, but we have our ways of managing the temperature. We aren't here to make a big show of things or impress anyone. We just do the work that needs doing so the engines keep running. It’s a lot of metal and noise, but that’s what makes up our workday. We just focus on the machines and the tasks.
