K L Transport

K L Transport is based at 122A in Kamaraj Nagar. It’s a fairly large plot because we need the space for the trucks and the maintenance area. The office itself is a small, one-room structure made of brick. Inside, it’s quite cramped with desks, filing cabinets, and a lot of logbooks. We have a large whiteboard where we track which vehicles are out on the road and which ones are in for repairs. There’s always a faint smell of diesel and tire rubber in the air. We don't have any fancy office furniture, just some old chairs that have been around as long as the business. The walls are decorated with old calendars and a few maps of the state. We spend most of our time on the phone, talking to drivers or arranging pickups. It’s a loud place with the sound of engines starting up and people shouting over the noise. We have a small corner with a water jar and some glasses for anyone who drops by. There’s no receptionist, so you just have to shout to get someone’s attention. Most of our staff have been with us for years and we’re like a big, messy family. We don't have any corporate goals or polished speeches. We just focus on getting the goods from point A to point B without too much trouble. It’s hard work, especially when the weather is bad, but we just get on with it.
