A K Stones

A K Stones is tucked away in Balaji Nagar, specifically at 2/18 on Bharathi Salai. It’s a decent spot, though the street can get a bit narrow when the big delivery lorries try to turn in. We’ve been operating here for a while, just handling different types of stone that people use for their homes. Most of the time it’s just the usual routine of checking the stock and talking to customers who wander in. We don't have a big marketing department or anything fancy. It’s just us. We look at the slabs, check for any natural cracks, and help people pick something that looks okay. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to work outside, but the stone doesn't mind the rain. We spend a lot of time on our feet, walking back and forth across the yard. The pieces we have vary quite a bit in color and thickness. We just tell people what we know about where the stone came from and how it might look once it’s cut. It is a very hands-on kind of business. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit since we started, but the work stays the same. Heavy lifting, measuring twice, and keeping the yard open for whoever needs some stone for their floors or counters. It’s how we spend our days. There’s no big secret to it, just keeping up with the inventory and the deliveries as they come.
