We are located over at No.47 on Aurobindo Street. It's right near Kalvi College here in Pondicherry, 605001. If you've walked past the college, you’ve probably seen our sign. The office is a simple place, nothing fancy at all. We have a couple of desks that have seen better days and some chairs for people to sit while we talk about their trips. Vikram Travel & Tourism is just a small operation. Most days, it’s just us in here with the fan whirring overhead to keep the heat away. Aurobindo Street is usually quite busy, especially when classes let out at the college. You can hear the scooters and people talking outside all day long. We spend a lot of time looking at schedules and writing things down in our ledgers. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it’s quiet enough to hear the clock ticking. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just do the work. The paperwork can pile up on the corners of the desks, but we know where everything is. It’s a lived-in space. People from the neighborhood drop in to ask about bus times or to book a car for a wedding. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the faces on the street. It’s a good spot to be, right in the middle of everything. We just keep things moving without making a big fuss about it.
