Akshaya Builders

Our office is over in Victoria Nagar, right near the Indira Gandhi statue. If you know where Vidya Karthik Kalyana is on Dharapuram Road, we are pretty much right there in that area of Chandrapuram. Akshaya Builders has been operating out of this spot for a while now. Most days, it’s just us handling the day-to-day stuff that comes with construction. It’s noisy and there is always a truck coming or going. We deal with concrete, bricks, and a lot of paperwork that seems to pile up on the desks. Sometimes we're juggling three things at once and it gets a bit hectic. The guys on the crew have been with us for a bit, so they know the drill. We don't spend much time making fancy presentations or anything like that. Usually, we're just talking to people about where the walls should go or why the plumbing is delayed. It’s a lot of back and forth with suppliers. Dharapuram Road is always busy, so getting materials delivered can be a pain during rush hour. We just try to get the work done as it comes in. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. Some days are longer than others, especially when we're trying to finish a roof before the rain starts. We just keep the doors open and stay busy with whatever project is currently on the schedule. It is mostly about getting the bricks laid.
