Vee Herbal Care

Vee Herbal Care is based at No.24 in Rajagowri Nagar, over in the Koravallimedu area of Mathikrishnapuram. We are a small operation working out of this spot. We mostly deal with herbal products and things related to natural care. It’s a residential-feeling area, so it’s not as loud as the main markets. We have shelves filled with different bottles and packages. My wife and I started this because we had an interest in traditional ways of doing things. We spend a lot of our time packing orders and checking the quality of the herbs we get. It’s not a fancy setup. The floor is plain and we have a couple of wooden tables for sorting things out. People from the neighborhood come by, and we also send things out to other places. The air inside smells like dried leaves and roots, which is something you get used to after a while. We aren't trying to act like a big pharmacy or anything. We just provide what we have. Sometimes the supply of certain plants is hard to get, so we just wait until they are in season again. It’s a slow and steady kind of life here in Mathikrishnapuram. We keep our own hours mostly, as long as the work gets done. It's a simple way to spend the day, surrounded by natural products and local people. There is always some cleaning or sorting to do.
