Time Zone

We are located at 9 Anna Salai in Pondicherry, right in the middle of everything. Time Zone has been here for a good while, and most people around the neighborhood know where we are. It is a small shop, but we have managed to fit a lot into it. Being on Anna Salai means there is always someone walking past or stopping to look at the window. The humidity here can be quite something, so we keep the fans on high all day long. Inside, it is mostly glass cases and the sound of many different clocks ticking at once. It is a comforting sound once you get used to it, though some people find it a bit much at first. We mostly deal with watches and clocks, fixing them or just changing batteries for the locals. My hands are usually a bit oily from working on the gears. The shop floor is a bit old, and the tiles are slightly cracked near the entrance, but it doesn't bother anyone. We get a mix of tourists and regulars who have lived in Pondy their whole lives. Sometimes we sit on the stools out front when business is slow just to watch the bikes go by. It is not a high-end luxury boutique, just a place where you can get your watch looked at by people who know how they work. The 605001 area is busy, but we like it here.
