Sri Jayam Transports

If you are looking for us, we are up on the first floor on Poothurai Road in Sirguru Nagar. It is right in the Pondicherry Bazaar area, quite close to the Transport City in Gorimedu. Sri Jayam Transports is the name on the board outside. Being on the first floor means we have to walk up and down those stairs a dozen times a day whenever a driver pulls up or a customer arrives. The bazaar is always busy, especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to get their work started. From our window, we can see the traffic moving towards Gorimedu. We keep our paperwork in some old files and use a basic computer for the rest. It is a bit of a crowded space because we have a lot of ledgers and maps lying around. We spend our days talking on the phone and figuring out the best routes for the trucks and cars. It gets a bit noisy with the transport hub so close by, but that is just how it is in this part of town. We don't have any fancy receptionists or anything like that. Usually, it is just one of us sitting there handling the calls and checking the schedules. It is a straightforward business, really. We’ve been here in 605001 for a good while and people know where to find us when they need something moved or a trip planned.
