Sri Balajee Cabs is located over in Lawspet on Selvasakthi Vinayagar Koil Street. We’ve been at this spot for a while now, right near the Ashok Nagarvinayakar Temple. It’s a busy little area in Pondicherry. Running a taxi business here means spending a lot of time on the phone and making sure the drivers know where they’re going. Most days, we are just keeping track of which car is where and making sure the fuel tanks are full. The street outside can get a bit crowded, especially near the temple during festival times, but that is just how it is around here. We have a few different cars parked up when they aren't out on a job. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually sit inside the small office and wait for the next call to come in. Lawspet is a good neighborhood, mostly quiet compared to the main town center, but we stay busy enough. People around here know us by name, and we try to keep things simple. No fancy stuff, just driving people where they need to go, whether it's to the station or just across town. Sometimes the traffic is bad, sometimes it’s not. We just take the calls as they come and do the work. It’s a local business, nothing more, nothing less. We’re at number 4 if you are looking for the place. We keep an eye on the clock and try to get to the pickups as fast as the traffic allows. It's just a regular life for us.
