Sri Ayyanarappan Carriers

You can find us at No 43 on Middle Street in Pondicherry. We are pretty close to Ganapathichettikulam, right near the Pims Hospital, which is a good landmark if you are trying to find our gate. Sri Ayyanarappan Carriers is basically a transport operation. We have trucks coming and going at all hours, moving goods from one place to another. It’s a dusty business, honestly. There is always a lot of loading and unloading happening, and the sound of engines idling is just part of the background here. We spend a lot of time on the phone tracking where the drivers are or talking to mechanics when something breaks down on the road. The office is just a small place where we keep the logbooks and keys. It's not very tidy because there's always someone coming in with a delivery note or a cup of tea. Being near the hospital means the roads can get a bit tight, so we have to be careful with the bigger vehicles. We just try to get the loads delivered without too much trouble. Sometimes the weather slows us down, especially during the heavy rains, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around, just trying to keep the wheels turning every day. It’s hard work, but we have been doing it for years now.
