Our place, Arkay Agri Impex Pvt. Ltd., is sitting over at No. 36 on Solainagar Main Road. We’re located in Muthialpet, which is a fairly busy neighborhood. If you walk down the main road, you’ll see our doors open most of the day. We deal with agricultural imports and exports, which means there’s always something being packed or unpacked around here. It’s a lot of paperwork and even more heavy lifting. We don’t have a lot of bells and whistles in the office. It’s mostly just desks, some chairs, and stacks of documents related to the shipments. The traffic on Solainagar Main Road can be a real headache in the evenings, so we try to get our big truck movements done earlier in the day if we can. Some days are slower than others, depending on the season and what’s happening with the crops. We have a small group of people working here who really understand the local agri market. We don't use much fancy technology, just the basics to keep things moving. It’s a bit of a messy job sometimes, dealing with raw goods and sacks, but we don’t mind the grime. We just want to make sure the containers are ready on time. Being in Muthialpet makes it easy for us to stay connected with other local businesses. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to run a decent trading business from our corner of the city. It’s hard work, but we find it rewarding enough.
