Latelier Design

We are located over at 17-A on Tippu Saib Street. Being in Pondicherry, especially near the railway station, means there is always a bit of a rush around the corner. You can usually hear the trains if it’s quiet enough in the afternoon. The building is an older style, which fits the vibe of the street. Inside Latelier Design, it’s mostly just us working through whatever projects are on the table. We don't have a lot of decorations or anything. It’s a practical workspace. We’ve got our computers and our sketches, and that’s about it. The weather in Pondy can get pretty humid, so the fans are almost always on full blast. Sometimes we go out for a quick walk near the station just to clear our heads or get a coffee. It’s a small operation. We don’t have a big team of people in suits. It’s just a few of us trying to make sense of the designs we’re building. People sometimes wander in thinking we’re something else because the street is so busy, but we don’t mind much. We just tell them where they need to go. It’s a quiet life mostly, despite being so close to the station. We just keep our heads down and do the work. There’s no need for anything more complicated than that. We like the neighborhood even if it gets a bit crowded during the holiday seasons when all the tourists arrive.
