You can find us over at Number 1, Singili Naicker Street in Mudaliarpet. It’s a busy little area, and our chit fund office is right in the middle of things. We’ve been operating from here for a while, dealing with the monthly collections and the auctions that come with this kind of work. It’s a lot of manual work, writing down names and keeping track of the pots. People from around Mudaliarpet come by to pay their dues or just to see how the latest round went. The street can get a bit noisy with scooters and people passing by, but we’re used to it. We don’t have a big corporate team, just a few of us making sure everything is handled right. There aren’t any fancy slogans here. We just do the work. It’s about trust, really, because in a chit fund, everyone needs to know the person running it is actually there every day.
