Ganesh Information Centre

Up on the first floor at Number 156, Marai Malai Adigal Salai, is where we work. If you see the Mass Hotel, we are right near there, which makes it easy for people to find us. Ganesh Information Centre isn’t exactly a travel agency in the usual sense, we do a bit of everything related to helping people find their way or get things done. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but once you’re here, it’s a decent place to sit and talk. We have some computers and a lot of registers to keep track of things. The road downstairs is always loud with traffic, but it’s a bit quieter up on the first floor. We help people with all sorts of questions, whether they need to know about transport or other local services. It’s a busy spot because this road is a main artery in Pondicherry. We don’t have any corporate polish or fancy decorations, just the essentials to do the job. Some days we are swamped with people asking questions, and other days we just catch up on paperwork. We’ve been here for quite some time, so we know the area well. It’s just us doing our thing, helping out whoever walks through the door. We don't use big words or try to sell people on things they don't need, we just provide the info they are looking for and hope it helps them out.
