G L S Motors is situated at 2/255, Pondy Mailam Main Road. We are right at the Thiruchitrambalam Koot Road junction. It’s a busy spot because of all the traffic moving between Pondicherry and Mailam. We are near the PG Complex in Jawahar Nagar. The shop has a lot of open space for the vehicles and parts we deal with. It gets very dusty because the road is right there and the trucks kick up a lot of grit. We usually have some grease on our hands and tools scattered around the floor. It is not a clean, polished showroom. It’s a place where engines get worked on. You can hear the sound of the road all day long. Sometimes we sit outside on plastic chairs when things are quiet. The sun can be really strong out here on the main road. We don’t have much in the way of air conditioning, just a couple of fans that move the hot air around. People stop by because they are passing through the Koot Road intersection. Folks around here just know where we are located. It’s a straightforward motor shop. We do the work, talk to the drivers, and keep the place going despite the heat and the dust from the Pondy Mailam highway. It is just a regular part of Jawahar Nagar for us.
