Wood Crafts is located at Vasudeva Residency over in Shanti Nagar. It’s a quiet enough area most of the time, away from the main road noise. We aren’t a big factory with assembly lines or machines running all night. Most of the things we do involve a lot of hand tools and taking our time. The smell of sawdust is pretty much stuck in our clothes every day, even when we go home. We’ve got a small workshop space where we do the actual cutting and sanding, and then we handle the administrative stuff from the residency. It’s a bit of a juggle sometimes, keeping the dust away from the paperwork. We started doing this because we just liked working with wood and building furniture. It wasn't about making a huge company or getting rich. It was just about having a place to create things. You’ll find bits of timber and shavings in the corners of the room almost all the time. Shanti Nagar has changed a bit with more apartments coming up lately, but we’ve stayed in the same spot. We don’t have a fancy showroom for people to walk through. If someone wants to see what we are making, they usually just come by the workshop and see what’s on the bench. Sometimes a project takes longer than we thought because the wood wasn't sitting right. We don't try to hide that. It's just how it goes with wood.
