Mahalaxmi Novelty Stores

Our store is right on the Main Road so we see a lot of people passing by every single day. It is a small place but we try to cram in as many different things as possible on the shelves. You can find all sorts of little items here from small gifts to household things you might have forgotten to buy elsewhere. The shelves are always a bit of a mess because kids come in and move things around but we try to tidy up when we can. It gets very busy in the evenings when people are heading home from work and want to grab something quickly. We don't have a lot of space to move around behind the counter so it is a bit of a squeeze. Sometimes we have boxes sitting in the aisles because a new delivery just arrived and we haven't had the time to put it all away yet. The light from the street comes in through the front door and it is usually quite bright in here. We know most of the people who live around here by name since they stop in so often. It is just a typical neighborhood shop where you never know exactly what you might find. We just keep the door open and wait for whoever comes in next. Most days we are just standing here chatting with the regulars while we bag up their stuff. It is a simple life on a busy road.
