Sri Annalakshmi Coffee

If you find yourself on SS Co Street in Pollachi, look for number 1/165. That is where we do everything for Sri Annalakshmi Coffee. Pollachi is a nice place to be, and our street is usually filled with the sounds of local life. We have a small setup here where we process the coffee. The machines are old but they still run fine as long as we keep them oiled. There is always a layer of coffee dust on everything, no matter how much we clean. We spend our mornings weighing out beans and putting them into bags. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but there’s a rhythm to it that feels right. Sometimes the local kids run past the door making a lot of noise, or a cow wanders by, and we just keep doing what we are doing. We aren't trying to be some big international brand; we just provide coffee to the people who want it. The air inside always smells like roasted beans, which is probably the highlight of the job. Our desks are cluttered with slips of paper and old pens. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. It’s just us in a small building on a busy street, making sure the coffee is ready for whoever comes to pick it up. Usually, we close up when the sun goes down and head home.
