Mara Electronics

Mara Electronics is tucked away at 17/3 on Bharathi Street. If you know where Durais Theatre is, we are just around the back side of it. It’s a bit of a quiet spot compared to the main road, which is nice for the kind of work we do. We spend most of our time with soldering irons and circuit boards. There’s always a smell of hot solder in the air here. We started this place because we liked taking things apart and seeing how they worked. Now, we spend our days putting things back together or fixing what’s broken. We don’t have a big storefront with neon signs. People usually find us by word of mouth or by looking behind the theatre. The space is a bit small, and we have boxes of spare parts stacked up pretty high, but we know exactly what’s in each one. It’s not the most modern setup, but it works for us. We handle all sorts of electronic repairs and bits of assembly. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought, especially with the older sets, but we don’t like to rush things. We’ve lived in this area for a long time, so we know most of the people walking by. Bharathi Street is home to us. We just keep our heads down, work on the electronics on our benches, and try to be helpful to whoever wanders in and needs a hand with their gadgets.
