Idhayam Food & Feeds

If you drive down Valparai Road, you’ll find us near Rajalaksmi Mahal in Kottampatti. It’s a decent spot because it’s easy to find for the drivers bringing in supplies. Idhayam Food & Feeds is mostly about the daily grind of moving bags and making sure the inventory is right. The road outside can get pretty noisy when there’s a wedding or an event at the Mahal nearby. We see a lot of local farmers and people from the area coming through. The air usually smells like grain or whatever we happen to be processing that day. We have a small office area, but most of us spend our time on the main floor where the action is. It isn’t a fancy setup. The roof makes a lot of noise when it rains, and we have to keep an eye on the dampness. We’ve been in this part of Kottampatti long enough that the neighbors all know us. Sometimes we stand out by the road to catch a breeze when the afternoon gets too hot. There is always a lot of dust from the bags, so we sweep the floor more often than we’d like. It’s just honest work with food and feed products. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that, just a few people making sure the orders are right and the animals get fed. The bags are heavy but we've gotten used to it over time. It’s just what we do here.
