Calmet Corporation

You can find Calmet Corporation down on Balagopala Puram Street in Pollachi. It’s a busy little street, and our door is at number 20/97. Pollachi is famous for its coconuts and the nice weather, but we are here for the business side of things. We’ve been operating from this spot for quite a while. The office isn't anything special to look at, just some desks and a lot of ledgers. We do a lot of our work over the phone or by meeting people who drop by the street. It gets a bit loud outside with the tractors and the local market noise, but we’re used to it. We handle a lot of technical stuff that people in the area need. It’s mostly just us and a couple of helpers who keep the place running. We don't have a corporate office in a big city; we like it here in Tamil Nadu. The days usually start early with a cup of strong coffee. We go through the mail, check what needs to be sent out, and talk to the folks who walk in. It's a very straightforward way of working. No one wears a tie here. We just get our hands dirty when needed. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It’s a simple life and a simple business, just the way we like it. We focus on the tasks and get home to our families.
