Anamallais Tea Traders

In Valparai, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Our shop, Anamallais Tea Traders, is located at 83, Uralikal in Perriyar Nagar. It’s a small area where everyone tends to know what everyone else is doing. We spend most of our time talking to people who come in to buy or sell tea batches. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a regular place with 83 painted on the front. We have piles of samples everywhere and sometimes it’s hard to find a clear spot on the table to write. Perriyar Nagar is a nice spot to work in because it feels like a real neighborhood. We don't have a marketing team or anyone like that. It’s just a couple of us handling the orders and making sure the tea gets where it needs to go. Sometimes we get a bit behind on the paperwork when the season gets busy. The air in Valparai is usually fresh but inside the warehouse, it’s all tea smell. We drink a lot of tea ourselves while we work, mostly just to keep going during the long afternoons. We've been at this address for quite a while now and the locals know to find us here. It’s just a practical business running out of a practical building. No more, no less. We just focus on the daily tasks and hope for good weather.
