M. S. Garments

This place is a bit tricky to find if you are new. We are at No. 15 Jai Nagar 2nd Street Extension. It is near the Kongu Main Road and not far from the Tiruppur Railway Gate. If you get lost just look for the Ammavasai Compound or the big Veppamaram tree. That neem tree is a good landmark for us. The building is simple and we have been here in P. N. Palayam for a good long time. You can hear the trains passing by quite often because the railway gate is so close. Sometimes the whole floor shakes a little when the big express trains go through. We do garments here and it keeps us on our feet all day. There is a lot of cutting and stitching going on. The air is always full of tiny bits of thread and lint. We have a small team and everyone knows their job. It is not the kind of place you see in a magazine. It is just a workshop with old fans and a lot of work to get through. We keep the fabric stacked against the walls to make room for the machines. People come and go through the gate all day long. Sometimes we stand under the tree to get some shade and a bit of fresh air. It is a busy part of Tirupur and we fit right in with the rest of the shops. We just keep our heads down and work. It gets noisy but that is part of the job.
