If you’re looking for us, we are located in Pithwa village, right near the State Bank of India branch. It’s a good spot because everyone from the surrounding farms eventually ends up at the bank, so they stop by to say hello. Working in the agro business means our schedule is pretty much dictated by the rain and the seasons. When it’s planting time, the shop is full of bags of seeds and fertilizer, and we barely have time to sit down. We get a lot of dust blowing in from the road, especially when the tractors go past. The office part of the building is just a small room with a desk and some old chairs where farmers sit and talk about the weather or the price of crops. We don't really do much advertising; word of mouth is how most people find out we have what they need. It’s a practical kind of job. Sometimes we have to head out to the fields in Wankaner to see how things are growing or to deliver something a farmer couldn't pick up himself. The floors are usually a bit muddy and there's always the smell of earth and feed in the air. It’s a simple life out here in the taluka. We aren't doing anything fancy, just trying to supply the right stuff so the local farms can keep going. It is honest work and it keeps us very busy.
