We are based out of Ward No-3 in Kothihat. It is a small place where everybody knows each other, which makes things easier in some ways and harder in others. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a room where we keep our files and meet up. We spend a lot of time just talking to the neighbors and seeing how things are going in the ward. Being in a small spot like Kothihat means you can't really hide what you're doing, so we try to keep things transparent and simple. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who grew up around here and wanted to do something useful. Most mornings start with a cup of tea and a look at the to-do list. There is always something that needs fixing or someone who needs a hand with paperwork. We don't use big words or have fancy plans. We just take it day by day. The building we are in is old but it works for us. Sometimes the power goes out, but that's just how it is here. We like being right in the middle of Ward 3 because it keeps us close to the people we see every day at the market. It’s a practical way to run things without all the extra noise you get in the big cities. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
