We are based right near the GIC in Didihat. It’s a convenient spot for us and the people who need our materials. Running a stone crusher is mostly about keeping the rhythm of the machines going. We’ve got a few people working here who have been with us since we started. It’s a small operation, really. Most of our day is spent outdoors, rain or shine. Didihat can be quite cold in the winter, but the work keeps us moving and warm enough. We don't have a website or a big sign, just the machines and the stacks of stone that everyone sees. People usually find us by word of mouth or just by driving past the GIC area. It's a bit of a messy job, but someone has to do it. We handle the crushing, the sorting, and the loading. There’s no big hierarchy here; we all pitch in where it's needed. If a machine breaks, we fix it ourselves if we can. It’s the kind of place where you wear heavy boots and expect to get dirty. We don't spend much time in the office because there's always something to do in the yard. It's a practical business for a practical town. We just focus on the task at hand and try to keep things simple for everyone involved. That’s how we've always done it here in Didihat, and it works for us.
