Our place, Surface Preparation Solutions And Technologies Pvt. Ltd, is over at Plot No.77 in Sec-3 of the Indl Area. If you come by, don’t wear your best clothes. Surface preparation is a messy business involving sand, grit, and lots of high-pressure air. The whole shop usually has a layer of fine dust on everything no matter how much we sweep. We spend the day cleaning up old metal or prepping new parts so they can be painted or coated later. It is very loud because of the compressors and the blasting cabinets. Everyone wears heavy boots and ear protection. We are located in a row of similar industrial units, and the street outside is usually full of parked lorries. The office is just a small room partitioned off from the main floor where we keep the records. It is mostly about the work and not the presentation. We have some big machines that take up a lot of room and we are always moving pallets around with a manual jack. It is a physical job and by the end of the shift, everyone is pretty tired. We take our breaks outside when the weather is nice just to get away from the noise of the machines. We’ve been here in Sec-3 for a good while and the neighbors all know the sound of our equipment starting up in the morning.
