Agro Park Mini

If you walk down Old Market Road in Piravom, you’ll find us at number 4. It’s a busy street, especially on market days when everyone from the surrounding villages comes into town. Agro Park Mini is tucked right in there among the other shops. The building is old and has that specific smell of grain and earth. We don't have fancy air conditioning, just a few ceiling fans that click as they spin. Most of the day is spent talking to people who come in looking for things for their land. We have piles of stuff everywhere and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what someone asked for. The light comes in through the front door in a big square. We keep a radio playing in the background, usually some local station with the news. It’s not a quiet place because there’s always someone shouting a greeting from the street. We’ve got a small back room where we keep the extra stock. It’s a bit dark back there. We write everything down in a big notebook because the computer is slow and half the time we forget to turn it on anyway. It’s a practical way to run things. We’ve been part of this market for a long time and we know the rhythms of the season. When it's planting time, we're busy from dawn. When it’s harvest, it gets a bit quieter. That's just the natural cycle of this business.
