Rathi Stone & Marbles

Rathi Stone & Marbles is a family place in Village Silari. We are known locally as Rathi Brothers. Our shop is on Sandiya Road, in the Mangalwara area of Tehsil Piparia, which is part of District Hoshangabad. Being in a village, things move a bit slower than in the big cities, and we like it that way. We have a lot of stone and marble stacked up in our yard. Most of the people who come to see us are from around here or the neighboring villages. We spend our mornings moving the stock and checking for any cracks in the slabs. The sun can get really strong in Hoshangabad, so we usually take a longer break in the middle of the day when it's too hot to work outside in the yard. We don't have a professional secretary or a polished website. If you want to talk to us, you just come to the yard and find one of the brothers. We’ve got dust on our clothes most of the time because that’s just the nature of the job we do. We use old trucks for the deliveries, and they've served us well over the years. It’s a lot of physical labor, but it feels good to see the material go out to someone’s new home. We’ve been on Sandiya Road for a long time and plan to stay here for much longer. That is just how we do things in Silari.
