Krishna Bricks Udyog

Down here on Kerala Road, near the Ram Pol in Pipar, things move at their own slow pace. Krishna Bricks Udyog is right in the middle of it all. The Jodhpur sun is no joke, and it beats down on the brick stacks all day long until they are hot to the touch. We started this udyog because there was a real need for local materials in this part of town. We don't have a big office with air conditioning or anything like that. Instead, we usually sit under the shade of a tin roof and drink a lot of cold water from the clay pot. My brothers and I run the place together. We do a lot of the heavy lifting ourselves most of the time because it is hard to find help. It is a lot of back-breaking work, but it keeps us busy and out of trouble. We see people coming from all over the district looking for supplies for their farms or houses. The road gets busy with tractors and carts especially in the mornings. We try to keep the yard organized, but with thousands of bricks, it feels like a losing battle sometimes. We don't use any high-tech gadgets to make our bricks here. We do it the old way because that is what our father taught us years ago. It is a bit dusty and loud, but it is home for us. If someone needs bricks, they know where we are.
