Pooja Garments

We've been at 730, Mandi Tiraha for quite some time now. Pilkhuwa is a busy place, especially around this area where the market is always moving. Most days, we just open the shop early and start sorting through the latest batches of garments that come in. It gets dusty because of the road, but that is just part of being in Ghaziabad. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. Just racks of clothes and some chairs for people to sit on while they look at stuff. My cousin helps out when things get crowded on weekends. Sometimes the lights flicker when the power is acting up, so we keep a couple of torches handy. It’s mostly about getting the inventory right and making sure we don’t run out of the basic sizes that everyone asks for. People come in from all over the neighborhood. We know most of the regulars by name now. It isn't a huge operation, just a small spot where we try to keep things organized. Usually, there’s a tea stall nearby that brings us chai in the afternoons. The floor needs sweeping every few hours because of the foot traffic. We keep the registers near the front door. It’s a simple life here in Pilkhuwa. We just focus on the clothes and getting through the day’s work without too much trouble. Sometimes we stay late to finish the accounts, but mostly we try to head home once the market starts closing up.
