Akash Farm & Nursery

If you head down Garh Delhi Road, you’ll find Akash Farm & Nursery right opposite the railway station. We are also quite close to the power house, which is another good landmark to look for. Working at a nursery means our day starts early, usually before the sun gets too hot. We spend a lot of time watering the plants and making sure they’re doing okay in their pots. The noise from the trains at the station across the road is something you just get used to after a while. It’s a green spot in a busy area, and we like that contrast. People often stop in when they’re waiting for a train or just passing by on Garh Delhi Road. They might want a small plant for their window or something larger for a garden. We spend most of our time with dirt under our fingernails, moving bags of soil or pruning the bushes. It’s a simple life, really. We don’t have any fancy sales tactics; we just show people what we have and tell them how to take care of it so it doesn’t die. The power house nearby is a bit of an eyesore, but once you’re inside the nursery with all the plants, you don't really notice it anymore. It’s just a nice place to work every day. My favorite part is when the new saplings start to sprout and you can see the progress. We try to keep everything healthy and growing.
